LED lighting

1. Longer Lamp Life. This translates into reduced long term maintenance costs. FusionBrite LED tubes have a life of 50,000 hours. You will change a fluorescent tube 10 times more than an LED tube costing you 10 times more in labour with its increasing costs.
: 2. Less power consumption. Decreased running costs, on average 50-70% less. Cheaper outgoings, smaller carbon footprint. Electricity costs will increase. LED lamps may attract funding from the Australian Government Green Buildings Loan Fund.
: 3. Less heat generated. An LED lamp produces far less heat than a fluorescent tube/ballast combination. In large facilities where there are thousands of tubes installed this can translate into tens of kW of heat A/C systems do not have to remove reducing building running costs and carbon footprints even further.
: 4. Faster installation time. There is no need to remove the old ballast and starter or install new ones. Simply disconnect them, leave in place and connect your single end to power. Minimises inconvenience to tenants/staff during upgrade.
: 5. 100% RECYCLABLE as Green Waste. ZERO MERCURY, LEAD, CADMIUM OR OTHER TOXIC MATERIALS. Can count towards waste credit with some companies such as SITA.
: 6. Fluorescent tubes MUST be disposed of as toxic waste with the associated costs. This cost will increase with time.
