
Techport
Australia will feature world-class common user shipbuilding facilities
including a wharf, runway, dry berth, transfer system and Australia’s
largest shiplift.
The State-owned and operated
common user facility is spread over 6 hectares at the heart of Techport
Australia and will play a key role in assisting ASC to build the
state-of-the-art Air Warfare Destroyers.
The Common User Facility
will provide flexible access to a range of companies, contractors and
sub-contractors and indeed a range of projects in addition to the AWD
program.
It is capable of supporting multiple projects concurrently and land is
reserved for future expansion.
Hindmarsh
Plumbing were awarded the contract for the supply of the
Air-compressors, Air- dryers and Air-filters for the
site. This contract included the
mechanical and
electrical installation as well.
The Air-compressors, Air-dryers
and Air-filters were sourced from CompAir Australasia and the
mechanical installation was performed by Hindmarsh Plumbing
themselves. CompAir were asked if they had an electrical
contractor that they could recommend to undertake the electrical
installation.
We at Electric Results have a long standing
relationship with CompAir and they recommended us for the complete
electrical installation of the compressor house.
Our Scope of works was
as follows: -
• Supply and install a new compressor
mechanical services switchboard (MSSB) to the compressor house.
